KOREAN DRINKING CULTURE

If you ever happen to drink with a Korean elder than you, remember to pour or receive drinks with two hands.

You can either hold the cup with both hands or hold your cup with your right hand and place your left palm below your right hand or elbow. One hand is considered rude unless you are elder.

Koreans never pour their own drink. One, usually the youngest, would pour for all and someone else would offer to pour the last cup.

Also be alert always. Refill the empty cup. If you are not good at drinking, do empty your cup too fast, or you'll end up drunk ^^.

If you are sitting across someone elder, remember to turn your head to the side to drink.
