VISITING A KOREAN HOME

Please remeber to take off your shoes before entering a Korean home.

HOUSEWARMING (집들이)

Toilet paper or detergent powder as gift. When you attend a housewarming, this is the most common gift.

What does these gifts means?

Un-roll toilet paper smoothly and bubbles produced by detergent, it represent prosperity.

However, yonger generations tends to buy household items, items needed for this new home. Some even buy wine.

VISITING (방문)

A visit to a friend's home or parents home. Do not forget to bring a gift along. A box of chocolate or a basket of fruits will do. You can also bring a bottle of wine, ask your friend incase their parents dislike alcohol.
